High Standard Roofing Consulting & Roof Management
About High Standard Roofing Consulting & Roof Management
A Chilliwack roofing consultancy and management outfit, working on assessment, specification and project oversight rather than installation alone.
The word management in this company's name is doing real work and is worth reading carefully before dialling. Assessment, specification and project oversight are a separate discipline from installation. The consultant looks at what is on the building, writes down what should replace it and to what standard, then holds the crew doing the job to that document. High Standard Roofing Consulting and Roof Management is listed under that description rather than as an outfit that arrives to strip and re-lay a roof itself.
The role earns its keep in Chilliwack because roofs here work harder than they look. The eastern Fraser Valley takes heavy rain through the whole cool half of the year, more of it than the western end does, and the hillside neighborhoods add wind and snow load that the valley floor never sees. Moss is a permanent condition rather than a seasonal nuisance. Then there is the range of assemblies in use across the municipality: asphalt shingle in town, metal on the agricultural buildings out through Greendale and Rosedale, flat and torch-on across the commercial stock. What should go back onto a given building stops being an obvious question, and a strata council or a commercial owner facing a full replacement has a real reason to want an opinion from someone who is not also bidding the work.
No street address, no postal code and no website are published. For a consultancy that works on other people's buildings rather than receiving visitors, that is ordinary and not a warning sign. The telephone number is the only way in, which makes the first call worth a minute of preparation. Be clear about which of three quite different jobs you want: a condition assessment, a specification written for tender, or supervision of a contract already awarded. They are priced separately and confusing them wastes everybody's morning.
