It goes to my inbox, not to a queue and not to an address nobody reads.

I check it by hand

I look at the address, the hours and whether the phone number rings through to you. If something does not add up, I email you rather than guess. That is the part that takes the time.

It goes live

It usually takes two or three working days, longer if I am waiting on an answer from you. Then it sits in its category and its neighbourhood with a page of its own.

A few honest notes

There is no paid placement, so nothing you send moves you up a list.
A few trades sit outside what this directory covers. If yours is not in the category list, that is the reason, and it is nothing personal.
I edit for length and house style, and I may put you in a different category than the one you picked.
If you are already listed, do not send it in again. Claim the page instead and correct it there.
