The largest neighbourhood in Chilliwack by area, nearly twice the size of the next biggest. Predominantly farmland, bisected by Highway 1, running from the Fraser River south to the base of the Eastern Hillsides.

Rosedale is enormous — nearly twice the area of the next largest neighbourhood — and holds under six per cent of Chilliwack's population, which makes it the emptiest big place in the city. It runs from the Fraser River in the north down to where the ground starts climbing into the Eastern Hillsides, with Highway 1 cutting straight through the middle of it.

The business life splits along that highway. North and south of it is farmland: dairy, corn, berries, greenhouse and nursery operations, and the agricultural supply and repair trade that keeps them running. On the highway itself, and at the small crossroads centre around Yale Road East, is the other Rosedale — fuel, food, garden centres and the visitor traffic heading east toward Bridal Falls and Hope.

The neighbourhood also includes the Schelowat and Grass communities, and Lexw Qwò:m Park on its eastern side.
