Car Dealerships
An independent dealership out in Chilliwack West near the Highway 1 interchange.
Chilliwack's dealership trade is mostly franchised, strung along Luckakuck Way and the Young Road corridor with a manufacturer's sign over each door, and none of that appears in this directory. What is left is the independent side: used lots, consignment sellers, specialist importers, and the truck, trailer and equipment dealers that a farming city of this size keeps in work. Hot Rods and Classics is listed on that side of the line, which makes it part of a shorter and arguably more useful list than the one you would get by driving the strip.
The postal code puts it in Chilliwack West, the ground along the Fraser west of downtown and north of Highway 1. That neighborhood is a strange one to describe. Barely 2,500 people live in it, mostly in cul-de-sacs and small subdivisions up the side of Chilliwack Mountain, and yet it holds two of the busiest commercial areas in the city, the Village West industrial area and the Eagle Landing retail center at the interchange. Both are there for the highway rather than for the neighbors. For anyone selling vehicles, and particularly to a buyer driving out from Metro Vancouver, an address one exit off Highway 1 rather than in the middle of town is not an accident.
No street address and no phone number are published here, which for an independent vehicle seller is common enough; a good deal of that trade runs on appointments and on the web rather than on a fenced lot with a flag over it. The website is therefore the way in, and it is worth using before setting out. Stock in this corner of the market turns over one vehicle at a time, so what is available in any given week cannot be honestly stated here, and it changes faster than any snapshot could keep up with.

The City defines twelve neighborhoods. Three of them hold about two thirds of the population and most of the shopfronts, and the other nine run from a drained lake bed to a hillside to a working dairy landscape. Here is the honest version of each.
