Electronics Stores
An owner-run electronics and repair shop, on the Vedder Road run south toward the river.
The national electronics chains in Chilliwack are at Eagle Landing and along Luckakuck Way, and none of them are in this directory. What is left is a different trade: repair and service rather than boxed stock.
That covers computer shops in Sardis and the downtown that will fix a laptop or recover a drive, phone and tablet screen repair, a small business-IT layer serving the offices downtown and the industrial operations out in Village West, and an audio strand attached to the car trade. The rule of thumb is that a specification and a manufacturer's warranty come from the mall, and everything else comes from this page.
The address given for Lucky Appliances is only a postal code, which places it along Vedder Road on the long stretch running south towards the river. That is the busiest north-south line in the city outside the highway, and the neighbourhood around it has changed shape quickly: Vedder grew 39 per cent between 2011 and 2021, faster than anywhere in Chilliwack except Promontory, and now has more residents than any part of the city but the downtown. Most of that is at the south end, in Garrison Crossing on the grounds of the base that closed in 1997 and the subdivisions that filled in around it. A repair shop there has a lot of households within a few minutes' drive.
The name points at appliances specifically, which is narrower and more useful than the category heading, but what the shop actually takes in, and whether that means repair, resale or both, is not established by this record. No telephone number or website is published with it either. That is a real obstacle for a repair business, where the sensible first move is to describe the fault and ask whether the thing is worth bringing in at all, so anyone with something heavy to shift should turn up a number before loading it into a car.

The drive-throughs on Luckakuck are the visible half of eating here. The interesting half is downtown, out on the farm roads, and in the strip plazas nobody photographs.
