There is a clean division in Chilliwack's electronics trade, and knowing which side you need saves a drive. The national retailers are out at Eagle Landing by the Highway 1 interchange and along Luckakuck Way in Sardis, and being national they are not covered here. What is left is the independent layer, which here is mostly repair and service rather than boxed goods: shops that will fix a laptop, recover a drive, build a machine or replace a phone screen, a small business-IT tier serving the downtown offices and the industrial operations in Village West, and an audio strand attached to the motor trade. The two halves rarely overlap.

The name suggests where the interest lies, but what the shop handles is not spelled out, and nothing here should be read as a list of services. There is nothing published by way of contact either: no telephone, no website, and no street number, which leaves the postal code doing all the locating. That is thin, and it is better said plainly than dressed up: what is established here is a category and a part of town, and no more. For a repair shop the gap is less of an obstacle than it sounds, since the first question is always whether they work on the thing you are carrying, and that gets answered at the counter either way.
