This is one of the strongest independent categories in Chilliwack. The franchised quick-lube and tyre chains are excluded from this directory, which leaves the owner-operated shops, and there are a lot of them: in the light-industrial pockets behind Sardis, out through Village West, and along the Young Road corridor. The rural half of the municipality shapes the trade — several shops here handle diesel, trucks, trailers, RVs and agricultural equipment as well as cars, because their customers farm. If your vehicle spends time on a gravel road or tows something, that specialisation is the thing to look for on this page.
