Eye care in Chilliwack follows the same two-cluster pattern as the rest of the city's health services: the downtown around Five Corners and the hospital, and the Vedder Road corridor through Sardis serving the growing south end. The independents on this page do exams, dispensing, contact lens fitting and, in several cases, the kind of long-term care that comes from seeing the same family for thirty years. The national optical chains have a presence in Cottonwood Centre and Eagle Landing and are excluded from this list, which removes most of the mall-based dispensing and leaves the owner-operated practices.
