The large pharmacy chains are in the malls and attached to the supermarkets, and none of them are in this directory. What remains is Chilliwack's independent pharmacy trade, which is more substantial than in most cities of this size because of the geography: a municipality this spread out, with an older population in the rural neighbourhoods, sustains neighbourhood dispensaries that a compact city would have lost. Several are attached to medical clinics near Chilliwack General, others serve Sardis and Vedder, and there is a compounding and long-term-care strand as well. Delivery is common here for the same reason.
