A restaurant on the downtown side of the Hope Slough.
Looking for dinner in this city means knowing that the independent rooms are scattered rather than gathered in one place. The heaviest concentration is downtown, in the blocks around Five Corners and in the District 1881 development on the old Chilliwack Cattle Sales site, which brought a run of newer kitchens in beside the older ones. Vedder Road through Sardis and Vedder has more rooms in total, though most sit in plazas and are easy to drive straight past. Yarrow and Rosedale hold a handful that have outlasted several owners.
Bozzini's Restaurant belongs to the downtown group, on the near side of the Hope Slough, inside the neighbourhood that holds roughly 31 per cent of Chilliwack's residents along with the hospital, the Coliseum, the municipal airport and more than 350 businesses. These blocks were the commercial centre of the town long before the malls were built, and the mix around them still runs from banks and pharmacies to clinics and small independent retail, with District 1881 having pulled a second cluster of food and retail in beside them. That is the one part of the city where walking between two places in an evening is realistic, which is not true of Sardis or the hillside neighbourhoods, and it is the obvious area to aim for when the plan involves more than a single stop.
The record itself is thin. There is a postal code and a category, and no street number, phone number or website, so a map pin here is approximate and nothing about the cuisine, the format or the price appears on the page. Chains are excluded from the directory, so what is confirmed is that this is a local restaurant in the downtown, independently run. The rest, including whether the kitchen is open on any given evening and whether tables can be held in advance, has to come from the restaurant itself.

The drive-throughs on Luckakuck are the visible half of eating here. The interesting half is downtown, out on the farm roads, and in the strip plazas nobody photographs.
