Nearly all the clothing bought in this city is bought from national retailers at Cottonwood Centre or Eagle Landing, and none of those appear in this directory. The layer underneath is what the clothing category collects instead: independent boutiques in the downtown blocks and around District 1881, a strong consignment and second hand trade, and the western and workwear suppliers that a city where a great many people work outdoors or on a farm still supports. It is a short list next to a mall floor plan. Nearly every shop on it is one where the owner is likely to be the person behind the counter.

No street number, telephone number or website comes with this record, only a postal code. That is common enough for a small independent and is not a mark against the place, but it does thin out the advice that can honestly be given. What the entry does establish is the trade and the part of town, and the downtown core is small enough that the two together amount to a workable direction. The code narrows things to a few blocks. Establishing the actual door, and whether the shop is open at the hour you intend to arrive, has to happen some other way, most likely by asking someone downtown who already knows.
