Takeout in Chilliwack has a visible version and a useful one. The visible version is the drive-through row along Luckakuck Way and the cluster at the Highway 1 interchange, almost all of it national chains, none of which appear here. The useful version is smaller and harder to spot from a car window: independent pizza shops, Asian counters tucked into Sardis strip plazas, fish and chips near Vedder Crossing, Mexican and Middle Eastern kitchens downtown, and the trucks that park in the industrial areas at lunchtime. Ricardo's Pizza belongs to the second of those groups.

Pizza follows housing more reliably than almost any other trade, and a shop sitting between the Sardis malls and Vedder Crossing has a large, relatively new catchment within a few minutes of driving.

For a category that is mostly ordered by telephone or by app, that is a real gap, and it means a search or a drive past will be needed before an order can be placed. Whether the shop delivers, whether there is anywhere to sit, and what the hours look like are all outside what is known here. Counter service and takeaway are the norm across this category in Chilliwack, but that is a general observation rather than a statement about this particular shop.
