Cafés
A coffee shop on the Vedder Road run south toward the river.
Coffee in Chilliwack sorts itself by neighbourhood more cleanly than most trades do. Downtown holds the sit-and-work rooms, several of them in heritage buildings near Five Corners where the ceilings are high. Garrison Crossing has the walkable-square version, which is what that neighbourhood was designed for. Vedder Road, which is where this listing sits, mostly runs to the drive-through-adjacent format, serving traffic heading south rather than people settling in for an afternoon. And out on the flat there is a rural strand, a farm shop with an espresso machine, a counter at the back of a nursery, which only makes sense in a place where two thirds of the land is under crop.
Amble Coffee falls on the Vedder side of that split by postal code. Vedder is the fastest-growing part of the city, up 39 per cent between 2011 and 2021 and now second only to the downtown for population, so the demand is real and it is still arriving. Most of that growth is at the south end: Garrison Crossing, built on the grounds of the Canadian Forces base that closed in 1997, and the subdivisions that filled in around it. Canada Education Park and the University of the Fraser Valley campus sit in the same neighbourhood, which puts a student population within reach. Tzeachten First Nation lands are inside the same boundary, and the Vedder River along the southern edge brings a seasonal traffic of its own through the warm half of the year.
No street address and no phone number are published in this listing, which is a gap worth knowing about before setting out. There is a website, and that is the sensible first stop for the exact location and for whether this is a room you can sit in or a counter you order from and carry away. The national coffee chains are excluded from this directory, so everything appearing on the page alongside it is independent by definition.

The drive-throughs on Luckakuck are the visible half of eating here. The interesting half is downtown, out on the farm roads, and in the strip plazas nobody photographs.
