About Land
An independent coffee shop near Garrison Crossing.
Vedder Mountain Road runs west off the bottom end of Vedder Road, past Garrison Crossing and out towards the river, and unit 102 at 45530 is where Land is listed. That location matters for a coffee shop, because coffee in this city sorts itself fairly neatly by geography. Downtown has the sit-and-work rooms in the old buildings around Five Corners. The Vedder Road strip mostly serves traffic. Garrison Crossing was laid out as a walkable square, and the counters near it work accordingly, on foot rather than through a window. Chains are not listed on this site, so everything in the category is independent by definition.
Garrison Crossing stands on the grounds of CFB Chilliwack, which closed in December 1997, and the neighborhood around it has grown faster than anywhere in the city but Promontory, up 39 per cent between 2011 and 2021. The University of the Fraser Valley campus and Canada Education Park are at the same end of town. This is also the end of the city people pass through on the way to Cultus Lake and the Chilliwack River valley, both of which pull a good deal of traffic through the warm half of the year. The practical effect is a catchment holding students, families in newer housing and a fair number of people who can arrive without driving, which is a rarer combination here than the population figures alone would suggest.
The business publishes a website, which is the sensible place to check anything time-sensitive before setting out. No phone number is listed. What is served, when the doors are open and whether the room suits sitting with a laptop for two hours are all things this directory does not record and will not guess at. What can be said is where it is, and that the address sits a short distance from the Garrison square rather than out on the arterial with the rest of the coffee trade.

The twelve Chilliwack neighborhoods, and what each one is actually like
The City defines twelve neighborhoods. Three of them hold about two thirds of the population and most of the shopfronts, and the other nine run from a drained lake bed to a hillside to a working dairy landscape. Here is the honest version of each.
