Restaurants
A local restaurant near the Cottonwood and Chilliwack Mall cluster, on Luckakuck Way.
Fish and chips is one of the few restaurant formats where the name on the sign tells you most of what you need to know, which makes for a short description and an easy decision. What it does not tell you is anything about the room, the service or the fish itself, and none of those are established by this record either.
The address is 45355 Luckakuck Way, which places it in the Sardis retail cluster between Cottonwood Centre and Chilliwack Mall. Eagle Landing, out at the Highway 1 interchange, takes a further share of the same shopping traffic. Independent dining rooms in this city are scattered rather than gathered, which is the single most useful thing to know before looking for dinner here. The downtown has the densest run of them, around Five Corners and in the District 1881 development on the old Chilliwack Cattle Sales site. Vedder Road through Sardis and Vedder has the highest count overall, though a great many of those sit in strip plazas and are easy to drive straight past. Out in Yarrow and Rosedale a few rooms have outlasted several owners. This one is in the retail band, competing for the attention of people who came out to shop.
Neither a telephone number nor a website appears against the entry, so there is no way to check hours from this page, and no way to know whether the kitchen takes orders to go. Both are ordinary questions for this kind of place and both go unanswered here. The block itself is easy enough to find, being the stretch of Luckakuck Way with a shopping centre at either end, but the strip is long and the shopfronts blur at driving speed, so the street number is more use than a landmark. Anyone hoping to eat at an odd hour, or on a holiday, should assume nothing from this page and find a number elsewhere.

The drive-throughs on Luckakuck are the visible half of eating here. The interesting half is downtown, out on the farm roads, and in the strip plazas nobody photographs.
