Fast Food & Takeout
An independent pizza takeaway in the old commercial grid around Five Corners.
The takeout category needs a caveat in Chilliwack. Its visible version, the drive-throughs strung along Luckakuck Way and out at the Highway 1 interchange, is almost entirely national chains, and chains are not covered here. What remains is the harder half to find and generally the better one: independent pizza shops, Asian takeout counters in Sardis strip plazas, fish and chips near Vedder Crossing, Mexican and Middle Eastern kitchens downtown, and the trucks that appear in the industrial areas at lunchtime. A shorter list, and a more useful one.
Elevated Pizza Co is filed in the downtown neighborhood, in the grid around Five Corners where Yale Road, Young Road and Wellington Avenue converge. Those blocks carry more than 350 businesses between them, which gives a pizza counter here a working catchment through the day and a residential one after it. That is not true of the strip formats further south, which depend almost entirely on people already sitting in a car. Independent pizza is one of the few parts of the takeaway trade that has held its ground against the chains in a city this size, and Chilliwack has rather more of it than the highway frontage would suggest.
Beyond the neighborhood there is little else to go on. No street address is published, no telephone number and no website, only the postal code V2P 2P2, which narrows it to a few downtown blocks. Places in this category are usually counter service or takeaway only and that is the reasonable assumption to start from, but nothing here confirms it. Ordering, whether there is any delivery and how far it reaches, and what hours are kept will all have to come from somewhere other than here. Searching the business name together with the postal code is more likely to get you there than driving the blocks looking for a sign.

The City defines twelve neighborhoods. Three of them hold about two thirds of the population and most of the shopfronts, and the other nine run from a drained lake bed to a hillside to a working dairy landscape. Here is the honest version of each.
