Market Way is one of the streets in the Garrison Crossing grid, and unit 6 at 45555 is where Garrison Bistro sits. That address does something most Chilliwack restaurants cannot. Independent dining rooms here are scattered rather than clustered, which is the single most useful thing to understand before looking for dinner in this city, and the greatest number of them are strung along Vedder Road through Sardis and Vedder, in strip plazas set back behind parking and easy to drive past without registering. Garrison Crossing was built to be walked instead.
The neighbourhood exists because CFB Chilliwack closed in December 1997 and the grounds were redeveloped afterwards. Vedder as a whole grew 39 per cent between 2011 and 2021, second only to Promontory, and it now holds more people than anywhere in the city but the downtown. Canada Education Park and the University of the Fraser Valley campus are at the same end. Chilliwack is somewhere around 112,500 people by the City's own 2025 estimate, and a large share of that growth has landed at this end of the map. A dining room here draws on a residential square with students and newer households around it, rather than on traffic heading somewhere else.
A website is published, and for a restaurant that is the thing to look at before going. Hours, whether bookings are taken, what is actually being cooked and what it costs are all outside what this directory records, and all of them are the sort of detail that changes without anyone updating a listing. No phone number appears here. The postal code will find the block, which is easy enough to locate once you are inside the Garrison street grid, and that is not true of every address on this site. Nobody writing this entry has eaten in the room, which is precisely why it stops where it does.
