Chinese restaurants have been part of the ordinary furniture of small British Columbian towns for a very long time, and this city is no exception. Golden Dragon Village is listed at unit G100, 6640 Vedder Road, in the Vedder neighbourhood, which is the part of Chilliwack that has grown fastest: up 39 per cent between 2011 and 2021, and now second only to the downtown for population. Vedder Road is the axis of all that growth, running south from Sardis toward the river crossing.
Finding dinner in this city means knowing that the independent rooms are scattered rather than gathered. The downtown carries the densest run of them, around Five Corners and in the District 1881 development on the old Chilliwack Cattle Sales site. Vedder Road, through Sardis and Vedder, has the greatest number overall, though most sit in strip plazas set back from the road and are easy to drive straight past. Out in Yarrow and Rosedale a handful of places have outlasted several owners. National chains are excluded from this site, so what is left is genuinely local, and very little of it is easy to stumble on by accident.

Whether the business is a dining room, a takeout counter or both is not recorded here, and the two often share the same unit. A phone number is published, which is the practical way to check hours or place an order. So is a website, although it sits at dragonnoodle.ca rather than under the restaurant's own name, which is the sort of thing that makes a place hard to find by searching for it. Nothing on this page speaks to the menu, and it would be pure guesswork to try.
