Unit B140 is the tell. An address with a unit letter and a three digit number on Vedder Road means a plaza, set back from the road behind a parking lot, and that is where a large share of Chilliwack's independent restaurants actually are. Dining rooms in this city do not cluster the way they would in a town with one restaurant street. The downtown has the highest concentration, around Five Corners and in the District 1881 blocks on the old Chilliwack Cattle Sales site. Vedder Road has the greatest number overall, but they are spread along several kilometres of it and are genuinely easy to drive past.
