Naming a practice for Promontory tells you roughly which way to point the car and very little else. The hill above Vedder is the clearest case in Chilliwack of a neighbourhood built more or less in one go. It grew 39 per cent in the decade to 2021 and holds close to twelve thousand people now, the third most populous part of the city on the third smallest footprint. Almost all of it is housing.
