The name says Sardis and the address is on Stevenson Road, which is filed under Vedder here. That is less of a contradiction than it looks, because the two run into one another along the Vedder Road corridor and people here have always used the older name loosely. Unit A140 at 6640 Stevenson Road puts the practice at the south end of the retail spread, within reach of Garrison Crossing and the Canada Education Park campuses.
Dentistry in Chilliwack sits in two clusters. The older one is downtown, near Chilliwack General Hospital on Menholm Road and through the professional blocks around Five Corners. The newer and now larger one runs south down Vedder Road, following the population into Sardis, Vedder and Promontory, and this practice belongs to the second group. Vedder grew 39 per cent between 2011 and 2021, faster than anywhere in the city except Promontory, and that is the kind of increase that pulls medical and dental services along behind it. The rural neighborhoods, Yarrow, Greendale, Rosedale and Ryder Lake, have essentially no practices of their own and drive in, so a good share of the appointments booked on this corridor begin with a trip across the valley floor.
Both a phone number and a website are published, which between them should answer what cannot otherwise be known: whether the practice is taking new patients, which of general dentistry, hygiene, orthodontics or surgical work it handles in-house rather than referring out, and how it deals with something urgent. Those vary a great deal from practice to practice and none of them follow from a category label. If you are coming in from outside the area, note the unit number as well as the street number. A140 indicates a multi-tenant building, and in that sort of complex the entrance is rarely where the road frontage suggests it will be.
