Most eating out in Chilliwack happens down on the flat, along Vedder Road or in the downtown blocks, so a restaurant carrying a Promontory postal code is unusual. Promontory is the hill above Vedder and it is almost entirely houses. The neighborhood went up in more or less one push, grew 39 per cent in the decade to 2021, and now holds close to twelve thousand people while remaining the third smallest part of Chilliwack by area. Views over the valley and forest at the top of every street are what it offers; commercial space is not.
