Hair Salons in Chilliwack
Hairdressing follows the housing in Chilliwack, and the housing has moved south. The greatest number of salons is now along the Vedder Road corridor through Sardis and Vedder, in strip plazas serving the subdivisions that filled in over the last fifteen years, with a second and older group in the downtown around Five Corners where several rooms have been operating for decades. Promontory and the Eastern Hillsides have almost no commercial space, so the stylists serving those neighborhoods generally rent a chair down on the flat or work from a home studio. Chain and franchise salons are excluded from this list.
