Barbering in Chilliwack has had a genuine revival, and it arrived with the neighbourhoods. Garrison Crossing and the newer parts of Vedder support the traditional-shop format — the chairs, the hot towel, the appointment app — while the downtown keeps the older kind, including a couple of two-chair rooms that have been cutting hair in the same block for longer than most of the city has existed. Yarrow has one, which for a village of 3,400 people is a small miracle. Franchised chains are not listed, so what is here is independently owned, which in this trade is most of it anyway.
