Chilliwack covers 261 square kilometres, and a good deal of that is thinly settled once you leave the central L, which means a great many households here are a ten-minute drive from a supermarket. That is the reason this category runs longer than you might expect for a city of this size, and why the shops on it do real work rather than selling convenience at a markup. Vedder Road is the spine of all that growth, and it carries the traffic to match.
