Day Spas
An owner-run salon and treatment room, on the Fairfield Island side of the downtown.
Sugaring is a hair removal method done with a paste of sugar, lemon and water rather than with resin, and it is a good deal older than waxing. A salon that puts the word in its name is signalling the technique rather than a general treatment list, which is useful, because the difference between sugaring and waxing is the sort of thing people have firm views about once they have tried both. That is what the name tells you. It is also all the name tells you, and there is not much more to add.
The address is on Mayfair Avenue in Fairfield Island, which is a residential neighborhood rather than a commercial one. Fairfield sits directly north of the downtown, separated from it by the Hope Slough, is the second smallest neighborhood in Chilliwack by area, and is about 95 per cent single-family houses on a grid that has barely changed shape in decades. A treatment room in that setting is a different proposition from a spa in a Sardis plaza. It is quieter ground, it is harder to happen upon, and it is the sort of address you arrive at by appointment rather than by wandering in.
Chilliwack's spa trade covers a wide span. There are day spas downtown and in Sardis running facials, body treatments and packages, smaller treatment rooms attached to hair salons, and a visitor-facing strand out toward Cultus Lake and the Chilliwack River valley that works to a different rhythm. Registered massage therapy is not carried on this site as a matter of policy, so what appears in this section is cosmetic and relaxation work. Neither a phone number nor a website is recorded for this one, which for an appointment-based business is the piece you most need, so the address and postal code above are the starting point and finding a booking route is the next step.

The City defines twelve neighborhoods. Three of them hold about two thirds of the population and most of the shopfronts, and the other nine run from a drained lake bed to a hillside to a working dairy landscape. Here is the honest version of each.
