Yoga Studios
An owner-run yoga studio, in Vedder, close to the Canada Education Park campuses.
Yoga in Chilliwack is a scene of small independent studios rather than franchises. The brands that dominate this category in Metro Vancouver have very little presence out here and are excluded from the directory regardless, so what is listed is owner-run, spread between Garrison Crossing, Vedder Road and the downtown rather than gathered in one district, and in several cases sharing premises with a movement or dance studio instead of standing alone. Alongside the fixed studios runs a substantial independent-teacher layer working out of community halls, church basements and the leisure centres, which in a city this spread out is often the more practical option.
Studio B Yoga is at unit 8, 45540 Market Way, in the newer commercial fabric at the south end of Vedder. That end of the neighbourhood is where the growth has concentrated. Vedder as a whole added 39 per cent to its population between 2011 and 2021, most of it around Garrison Crossing, built on the grounds of the Canadian Forces base that closed at the end of 1997, and Canada Education Park with its university and training campuses sits at the bottom of it. A studio there has a comparatively dense catchment within walking distance, which is unusual for this city.
A website is listed and no telephone number, which fits the category, since schedules and booking in this trade have largely moved online and a timetable goes out of date faster than any directory can follow. Class styles, levels, drop-in policy and whether mats are provided are all questions for the studio's own pages rather than for this one. Carry the unit number with you; multi-tenant buildings on a street of this kind do not always make their numbering obvious from the parking lot. A directory entry can tell you where a business is; it cannot tell you what it is running this week, and it should not pretend otherwise.

The drive-throughs on Luckakuck are the visible half of eating here. The interesting half is downtown, out on the farm roads, and in the strip plazas nobody photographs.
