Finding childcare in Chilliwack is a matter of persistence rather than choice, and the shape of the city works against parents in a specific way. The neighborhoods that have added the most young families, Promontory, the Eastern Hillsides and the newer parts of Vedder, were built almost entirely as housing with very little commercial space in them. What age groups are taken, what the licensed capacity is, whether there is out-of-school care and whether there is any space at all this month are not available, and none of it would be stable enough to publish even if it were.
