Sporting Goods in Chilliwack
Chilliwack's sporting goods trade is shaped almost entirely by what is outside the city limits. The Vedder and Chilliwack rivers are among the most heavily fished water in the Lower Mainland, so tackle, rods and river gear are a serious local business rather than an aisle in a big-box store, with shops clustered toward Vedder Crossing where the anglers actually go. Beyond that: hiking and climbing for Elk Mountain and the Cheam range, paddling for Cultus Lake, hunting supply for the back country, and the ordinary team-sport trade for a city with a lot of youth hockey. The national outdoor chains are not listed.
